driver side door lock making grinding noise
I have a 2000 durango and the driver side door lock is making a grinding sound when you use the remote or the button on the door tried to search for info on subject and how to fix the problem but couldnt find anything, would like some help on how to fix and where to get parts for a reasonable price. thank you
ORIGINAL: 2000RT
It sounds as if the window gear motor is going. I would reccomend not using it, in
case it goes out when the window is down
Good Luck

sounds like your power lock module in the door is going bad. Not 100% sure on the dodge's but on my bmw there was a similar problem where the door lock broke, pulled off the door panel and swapped it out. took about 30~45 minutes tops to get it done.
what does it do when you used the key?
