I just scaned my 2000 Durango and got a P1740 code, which says "Manufacturer Control Transmission" This might be a dumb question, but is there an easy fix for this? Is there a plug in controller or does this mean that the whole transmission is on it's way out?

 

I got that one too and I ended up with a rebuild. It's gonna get nasty if you keep driving it. Look for my post tranny problems and you'll get a good idea of what is going on (It's a pretty recent post).
