Just had some questions for mods. I want to put a dual exhaust on my D, but can't find anywhere that will do it because of the gas tank where its at. Any ideas on how to run it? Also do they make a performance chip for the 03 5.9 lt? Also looking for websites that sell body kits, hoods, lights, and other interior exterior mods. Thanks for the help.

 

Gas tank shouldn't be an issue. However, the spare can be.

A good shop can and will route around the spare and hook you up. Some will do the duals, but only with the spare removed. Look around for one of those good shops and you should have no troubles. Many D owners have duals with both setups.

You may want to consider a rear bumper cover that has the dual cut outs in advance of the exhaust install. Or adding a 'bump' on the drivers side in your existing cover to match the existing passengers side bump/cut out for the exhaust pipe. That way the sides match.

Also, you could consider running the pipes both out the passenger side in front of the rear tire. That gets you the duals AND skips both the gas tank and spare tire issue.

Finally, regardless of the choices, get a good dual wall chrome tip to finish off the look. One that welds on, and connects far enough back so the connection isn't seen.

Otherwise, GSM is the only maker to make prefabricated true dual exhaust kits for the 1st generation durangos. Kit goes from the exhaust manifolds all the way to the back includes the dual cat box, and dual mufflers.
