speaker probs
ORIGINAL: tomdroptop
Hey guys new to the Durango world & wanted to know just how easy or hard for that matter is it to remove the door panels f&b as 2 outa 4 of my speakers are cracklin.
Second question is I read the above thread & saw that they can actually fix the oem's? where & how can that be done? Any info would be great thanks!

Here's a link on the Owners Club site with a good "How To's" on the door panel removal: http://www.durangoclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4451

Indy,
sweet info bro.
I thank you all very much for the help. Like I mentioned I am new to the Durango world but NO stranger by any means to Mopar. This just happens to be my "new" Mopar.
Got what I felt was a GREAT deal on it but just had to replace the heater core & decided to have the intake manifold gasket done while it was there.
Thanx again guys & I will keep you posted on what I decide

Tomdroptop,
Please visit this thread to address all your questions on speaker replacement and repair to the OEM speakers should you want to keep them.

That thread has a link with photo illustrations to show you how to remove the door panel trims, link for the Infinity 6012's speaker replacement should you not keep the OEM's, link for the website where you can buy the polyeuthane foam surrounds to repair your OEM's (I think the cost was $2x.xx a pair), and link to buy the adaptive speaker rings ($7) if you buy aftermarket speakers that does not have the adaptive ring support. They even have voice coil replacements as well but most OEM's, the surround foams are broken which is what is causing all the clatter and pops.
