IM brand new to this web site and i have an 02 r/t and i would like to know what a safe raised rpm level for stock 5.9 and what are some great mods for this durango r/t is??? i want around 500 horse out of it ...

 

500 at the wheels or the crank? That's gonna take internal work and probably a SC or turbo. The comp in the D will not let you go over something like 5,500 rpms. You will want to start your modding with a CAI, exhaust, headers, programmer, and a fastman tb. After that stuff, go with new heads, cam, maybe bore it over to a 408, then of course like I said SC or turbo.
