Default Rearend

I have a 2001 with 84,000 miles only towed a snowmobile one time last year. The rearend has gone. It grinds in reverse. Is this common? What do I do to fix it? Do I need a new rearend?

Do you have LSD? If so when you did your last diff fluid change did you get friction modifier for it? If not you may want to add some to it and start saving for a new rear end which should take a while to go out...

It does have the lsd. Is this a common problem? Is there an easy fix? If I get a used one should I expect it to go as well? I love the vehicle and to this point have had no problems with it. Should I get rid of it now because this is when all the stuff breaks down? Just not sure what to do. I own it and it has been a very reliable until now.

The rearend going out is only common when you don't use the friction modifier on LSD. Go to the stealer and pick up a bottle it's only like 8 bux and just put it in and you may be okay for a while longer.
