Default A few questions about my 98 Durango

I have a few questions about my 98 Durango (5.2L 4WD), so I'll just shoot:

1. What is the largest wheel / tire combo that I could fit without rubbing? I'd like to put 20" wheels on... What size tire would be best?

2. I'm looking at getting a Hypertech Power Programmer III... What is involved in programming the computer for better performance?

3. Occassionally my motor will spike in RPM before it shifts from 1st to 2nd. Is it time to think about getting the Tranny rebuilt/replaced?

1. Depending on the torsion lift that was set by factory you will find the tire/rim combo your looking for. You might want to stay around a 31X10.50 LT 15 height and with.

2. If you look on Hypertechs web site you will find you answers. http://www.hypertech.com/product_searchvehicle.html

3. You might just need to have the trany Fully Serviced.

I was hoping that it was just a matter of getting the tranny serviced, the RPMS only spike a few hundred RPMs and it's only when the motor is fairly cold (first thing in the morning here in Wisconsin)

I fit 32x11.50-15 Remington Mud Brutes on mine with no lift and factory wheels. They do rub slightly on the frame if you turn it to the bumpstops. Other than that, no problems or complaints. I did remove the mudflaps. Just personal preference.
