Default Best Replacement Bulbs?

I want to replace my fog lights 893's and my head light 9007's with matching color and of course I want the best. So anyone know of the best pair to got with. Silverstar or what? Also remember that from the front I want them to match.

I run Hella Optilux Angel Eyes in the fogs and PIAA Xtreme White Plus 9007 Bulbs. Looks good and matches nicely.

Silverstars look great. Mine are ok but I think I need some clear lenses to get some better illumination along with the extra wiring that you are supposed to buy with HID's (I can't remember wth it is called [&:]).

Indy<-----Did you need to replace any wires or harness’s to run your bulbs like Green is saying?
Green<----Also what Extra wiring are you talking about and why do you have to run it?

I can't even remember what it's called. There is extra wiring that you use with HID's to get the most illumination out of the bulb. I believe it is around 75 bux or so. It is not necessary but you won't be nearly as bright as you want it to be without it. I'm sure if you searched a site that offers HID's you will find what I'm talking about.

I know the HIDs youre talking about and the extra wiring is actually some kind of transformer or power pack. I had Xenon bulbs in mine and liked them then when they finally went out on me I put in silverstars. They are expensive and they dont have the blue color to them but they were well worth the money to me. They brighten up the road like you wouldnt believe and are awesome on the trails at night.

I tied the Angel Eyes to the driving lights and the fogs to the fog lights. No extra wires needed. Here is the step-by-step How To article that I followed about 95%.

I couldn't remember exactly what it is but bossman is close. With the higher intensity you need to draw extra power to the lights and that power pack thing does that. It is not necessary but is a good thing to get. My bulbs getflooded out by other lights because they aren't as bright as they could be but they get the job done.

I am using silver stars on mine. I wonder if silver stars has a newer version as my silver stars are the 1st generation. I have tried other xenon bulbs that I bought online and the bulbs themselves are dark blue. they gave me a very good color but the luminance suffered liked crazy. At times, I could not verify if I even had my lights on at night. Switched back to my silverstars and everything in front of me was lit up again. Still not quite as bright as HID's but compared to the OEM bulbs, silverstars are very bright and white. I had these for3 years now and they have not burned out yet. Bought this as a box set and set me back $60. I see the prices for them came down quite a bit since they were first released to the public.

I would have love to go to HID's but I cannot give up my high beams as some HID kits for the durangos, you will no longer have hi beams.

Mine have high beams but I don't know how it would work out with the power pack.
