My D's front bumper started showing signs of rust a few months ago and now, due to the harsh conditions of winter driving in Wisconsin (road salt) it is now getting really bad. There is a large spot of rust (about the size of a half dollar) on the front of the bumper, a smaller spot (size of a dime) off to the left and the ends (inside the wheel wells) are both rusting. I can geta rust-freeupper bumper piece from a 98 Dodge Dakota for dirt cheap, but I'm wondering if it will fit... It looks identical, but I don't know if it will fit. Anyone know if it will?

 

The narrow top half of your bumber is the only steel part that usally rusts as for the fit the 97 to 04 dakota shares the same top half of the bumper as the 98 to 03 durango
