Default I love the hemi

so my trany went out on me last weekend.. and the good news was I have my D under a warrenty for another year so I take it into the shop and while they are rebuilding it. they sent me to the reta car place. and they wanted to set me up with a kia rio.. I was like Hell no.. I talked the manager into letting me take the 2006 durango with the 5.7 hemi. and I think I am in love.. all I want to do now is look up info if its possible to keep the best body style of the durango 1st gen.. and put a 2gen hemi motor in it.. But I couldn't believe it, that thing got up and went and its not them lightest car.. any ways good news.. Durangos STill ROCK.. and green.. I have been around just not posting too much for last few months work and life went nuts.. but I am back.. and to every one.. hello..[sm=escape.gif]and oh yeah. I will post some better pics on the site now my camera is working again.. JP

after reading a few forums it sound like the swap can be done but you have major mod like moving the firewall back 2inchs. and of course have required custom engine mounts, fender modifications, different transmission/computer/wiring/etc... so I guess I will still look towards good oll hydra and built up the 5.9 .. but I still thought that rental car was fun.. hahaha I rallied the hell out of it.. good thing I bought there 10 dollor cover all ensurence fee. just in case I mess something up.. :-)

JP if you want more power with an engine swap just get a hold of dan at thefastman.com for a 408 it would be a lot cheaper and easier. [8D]
