I have a 2000 Durango SLT 4x4, and i opened the door, and the alarm went off, i don't have a key fob to disarm it, I tried starting the motor to see if it would disarm it, but the engine quickly dies... Please help...

Got it off finally. I talked to a buddy who is a Dodge mechanic, he told me to go to either the driver or passenger door, and turn the key clockwise as far as it will go, and it will disable the alarm. He said there is a cylinder in the lock which disengages it, Thanks
