Default 4X4 NV 233 TRANSFER CASE

Gentlemen, Finally got some snow to check out the NV233 Tranfsfer case, Worked like a charm. I was blocked in, by drifts had to use 4LO to get in/out of the parking spot, but once I was able to plow through the initial drift, I was able to go back to 4HI. D Handles in the snow great, and of course the new michelin X-RADS gave some good traction. I knew patience would pay off and I would get some snow to play around in.

Yeah I love running my D in the snow. Last year (when I still had the stockers on the truck which were pretty bald) we had 28" of snow in 24 hours I locked it in 4wd the night before and plowed out in the morning took the wife to work, helped people out on the freeway then did it all over when I picked my wife up from work. When I was going down the street to my house everyone was shoveling their cars out and throwing the snow into the middle of the street (gotta love new yorkers for that )and there was a spot where the snow was higher than the hood for about 4 ft. I just plowed right through and had everyone gawking thinking I'd get stuck. I was loving it . I can't wait to get a good snowfall here in Reno these tires I have now are awesome for what I have seen so far.

Yeah, the word "tank" comes to mind. My 2000 5.9 2000 Durangois awesome. Great work truck also. Last summer I was back in Louisianahelping cleanup my parents yard (post Katrina)pulling downedtrees and such. Just locked her in 4-low and ripped them out by the roots. Saved loads of time rather thantrying to chop them up and dig them out.

On the way home flat towed awrangler from Louisiana to Colorado andbarely noticed it was there.

Can't beat them.

Yeah it is nice, In the empty parking lot that should have been our work over the past two days (I don't know something about snow emergency, 8-10 inches of snow, bad roads, non-essential travel restrictions, winds, blizzard, whiteouts, LOL!!!) anyway I was able to take it back into 2WD and have a few moments of a teenage flashback, getting on it, sliding around etc... Kind of cool, but the true test of the 4WD was the past two days, finally the major streets got plowed while I was at work today. With all the buildup of snow, ice, frozen slush on the undercarriage, I need to find some excuse to get it into a warm dealer garage to let it melt. (LOL!!!!!) I can only imagine what it will be like when I get the new brakes/rotors. I have facility lined up including alternate location with garage, (I have to provide space heater. LOL!!)
