Speaker Replacement
What speakers have you guys put in your Durango's with the Infinity Sound system that are a direct replacement. I know they are 6.5"s but the speaker holes did not match up with the Pioneers I tried. Thanks
I am running another set of infinities, kappa 62.5i. I didn't have a problem installing them, however I can't remember if I had to shim anything up or if it was just a clean install. But they work great with an added amp. I am going to put the infinity kappa perfect 6.1 system in the front doors soon. I am a huge infinity fan, although I just replaced my kappa perfect 12.1's with audiobahn 12Qs and they hit so much cleaner.
Hi all, I am newbie to the Forum. Anyway, got my Durango 2004 2WD --- like it except, the "stock" AM/FM/CD Player system is not good enough, even for newbie like me! The BASS sound is completely not acceptable. MID and TRIBLE are fine (well, to my ears). My setting is Trible +9, Mid +9 but I have to set the BASS to +1 if not, it's produce an "un-firmed" or "broken" bass sound. Any quick fix? Changing front Speakers? Please advice.

Anyone add speakers into the dash top? I have the stock basic stereo so I only have 4 speakers (doors). Is it prewired such that I can add the dash speakers? Do the covers just pop off? What size are they? I plan to change out the head unit as well.
try lowering the mid to neutral and up the base. i have the 8[i think]speaker set up so i dont get the distortion unless i up the mids into positive territory. i keep the highs all up and the bass all up. good sound no distortion till it is cranked almost all the way up.
