Default No Heat

Okay what options do I have? I had no heat into the D, the temp gauge would read below 210 and heat would enter the D when at speed. When at idle no heat. replaced t-stat w/ 180 and now temp gauge raises above 150, and no heat. Unless I turn the control to off afor a few and then turn to floor or defrost nd I get 30 sec of heat then cold. Felt hoses to and from heater core, hose leaving water pump hot and returning warm. Do I need to flush or have done something backwards? Not afraid to make mistakes while its still chilly in NC. Wife didn't tell me about ths until Friday.

I'd flush it. You may have a buildup of gunk on the lines in the core. There is a "how to" stickiedat the top of the page.

You sound like you have a blocked heater core. Do a search on heater core and there is plenty of info.
