Default 2001 with the dreaded P1740 Code

The D went in for a Tranny Filter Service at 75K. Had a very slight 1 -2 hang up under 50 percent throttle. Felt like it was jumping back into 1st for a split second. Techcalled and said the TV cable was worn and binding slightly. Changed that and since I inguired about a shift kit he mentioned that a TV adjustment would increase line pressure slightly and give the desiredresponse when towing. I was doubtful butallowed the adjustment.

Shiftedgood but full throttle at 2-3 shift caused a serioushang up on the shift and the engine banged of the limiter. I adjusted the TV back towhat I thought was the normal setting and after 30 minutes of driving I got the P1740 code.

It's not the OD. OD is fine. Operates normally. I could have the Stall testedon the TC but I dont think thats it.

Any thoughts from the experts? I am thinking I screwed up the adjustment. Since it is sluggish on shift. Reset the light, redo the adjustment and try again. Any other thoughts?

FYI: TPS, Speed sensor in Tranny and output sensor in rear diff all changed as preventitve and are good. I did not have any codes before the Tranny service.

update:
Reset check engine light and adjusted TV cable. Drove for 1 hour at different speeds. No more 1740 code. Rechecking codes generates " P done".

If it comes back I'll repost.

Glad to hear your OD didn't blow up on you. Mine did twice. Stupid AAMCO.
