99 Durango Brakes HELP!!!
Hey fellas,
I have a huge problem on my hands and i hope someone can give me a bit of advice. I have been the owner of a 99 dodge durango for3 years and its been a great truck. While i was on a 7 hour road trip to the U.P. of MI my brake light and A.B.S. lights came on. There was nothing i could do up there and the brakes seemed to be working fine. After a few brake checks on some back roads i figured it must be a A.B.S. sencer or some wire came loose and its tripping off some codes. So about a week after i got home i was sitting at a stop light and my brake pedal slipped up and dropped a few inches. now i have noticed that while im sitting still, if i let a little pressure off the pedal, it will sink a few more inches. And a little more preasure off it will drop a few more inches.i can work it all the way to the floor.
So last weekend i decided maybe i should bleed the brakes. I had my grandpa help me out by pushing on the pedal while i opened and closed the bleeders, standard bleed job. But, where my problem comes in is that in my back breaks, i open the bleeders and all the fluid ran out and then stopped. We kept the resivior full of fluid so no air got into the system. I CANNOT GET FLUID TO MY BACK BRAKES. I have tried everything, even getting a vaccum pump and trying to suck the fluid to the rear and nothing. I have herd of a proportions valve, or a check vale, that needs to be reset or replaced, or something to do with the A.B.S. system needing reset. If anyone can tell me exactly where this vale is(diagram/pic) or is it difficult to change?, or have any advise on the toppic i really would appreciate it. I think my next task is to change the brake boost and master cylinder to stop the pedal from sinking, i think thats what it is, but let me know with any knoledge you have. I cant stop in the snow cause i have no back brakes and no a.b.s.!!! i just keep on goin'

Yeah my first thought would be the brake booster as well. A lot of times the ABS light will come on because of of the rear speed sensor as well so it might be something to keep in mind.
