Hi,

I have a P0783 code for my 1999 Durango 5.2L 4x4. I know that this is the issue: P0783 (M) 3-4 Shift Solenoid, No RPM Drop At Lockup The overdrive solenoid is unable to engage the gear change from 3rd gear to the overdrive gear.

My question is I have never changed a Solenoid before. How hard is it? Any suggestions out there?

You have to take apart a good deal of your tranny, which can be very overwhelming. Just the inside of an auto tranny itself looks confusing.

 

Well, this weekend will be when I try to see what I can see. lol
