Power Steering Pump
I have to make a comment about "Lifetime Warranties!"
Such a crock! Take the pump for example, say in 3 years and 1 day it goes bad right past the 3 year warranty. Where is your receipt? I don't know how good your bookeeping is but to be able to track down a reciept from 3 years ago would be damn near impossible for most people, and that is what they count on! It is the same as buying an extended warranty at an electronics store, it is not economical. If you bought an extended or lifetime warranty for most high end or expensive stuff , count up that money, and then add up how much all of those warranties have saved you due to you taking something back and getting it replaced. Most likely they do not even come close to being the same number.
And don't get me started on Lifetime warranty brake pads and tires. I mean if you buy the warranty ask yourself: Why would any company sell a "lifetime" warranty on a part that is designed to go bad?
If you buy these warranties or pay a little extra for a lifetime part it is totally your perogative but in the long run it will not be worth!!!

Here's an idea Mike.
Take the receipt for the part you bought, and put it in the glove box of the vehicle you bought it for! Then, no matter where you go and if/when you break down. You have the receipt with you. I have done this for a few year's and didn't need to take any book keeping classes at all. Just a thought.
