We just purchased another eagle vision, this 1 is a 1996 esi w/ the 3.3 v6.The previous owner has a jumper wire from the starter to the positive side of the battery to start the car .Does this mean the ignition switch is bad?I was gonna part this car out but its in such nice condition i am gonna fix it and get it road worthy for my father since he drives my truck and the way fuel prices are it be well worth getting it going.

Probably, or it could be a wire issue.
