MPG on Intreprid?

Hey, I'm thinking of getting a first gen 96' w/ the 3.5L engine.

I read It'd get around 20mpg highway, 16 city....is it really that horrible?

NO! I have a 97 (3.5) and its in need of a tune up. Still it gets an avarage of 23 in the city and about 25-29 hwy (depending on how you drive ;-) ).

PS When it was new, I got around 29-32 hwy and 27 city
