Ok. I went and purchased a 1995 dodge intrepid with the 3.5 it has a great running engine and hit 104K before i parked it. The brake cylinder went out of it and a busted the torsion bar. Do you really think its worth fixing? Its not going to take more the 100 bucks but im just curious how long will these engines run??

Default How long?

I have a 1994 Intrepid ES with a 3.3L. It has 195K. Never had an engine problem. Replaced altenator 3 times, water pump 1 time, both axle halves around 160K. Axles were still good, CV joints were good, just torn boots. Replaced both Hot o2 sensors this year and the crank sensor last month. Trans was replaced at 33K under warranty, and a few AC problems. That is all the trouble I've had with the car. Mine is a 3.3L yours is a 3.5L I say keep it.

I have a 97 Intrepid ES with a 3.L. It has 116,000 and the only issue so far was replacing the Hot O2 sensors. Next are all the belts including timing. The 3.5L is one of the strongest engines Mopar makes not to mention it was one of the most innovative domestic engines when i came out. It is definitly a keeper.
