when i turn the key on all the dash lights come on but then they go out but the oil light it runs fine and when you shut the car off some how the computer clears every time took to shop for emmisson test 2 times and computer aborts the test i need help to fix thanks

 

Will it clear right away or after a few min? Induce a fault (unplug a sensor), verify fault stored, reconnect, turn off for less than 1 min, see if code is still present. If it is, turn off for 10 min and see if present. If gone after 10, it sounds like a power issue (to the computer). If gone prior to 1 min,, I'd think the computer itself (still may be some freaky shorted wire issue though).

 

also make sure all the wire connections are tight, have seen a loose ground wire cause this check the grounds next to the fuse box and on both sides of the engine as well as the main ground wire.
