Do you mean the parking lights? If you step on the brake, is there any effect at all (blink off momentarily, get brighter etc)? What about the center brake light? Turn signal lights? Reverse lights? These are different circuits, but by evaluating them all, it may give insight to where the problem is. Last are there any other odd (but seemingly unrelated) problems you haven't mentioned?

No I dont mean the parking lights I mean the tail lights. When I step on the brake nothing happens. The center brake lights and tail lights never go off. The turn signals work fine and as far as I know the reverse lights work fine. If I raise the brake pedal upwards the lights go off. I havent even had the car two weeks yet so I havent noticed any other issues.
I assume you pulled fuse 4. The pedal switch has three sets of contacts. One set is used for the brake lights. The other two are used for cruise control (to disengage). If your cruise control is ok, then I'd say its the switch it self. If cruise d/n work, I'd say the switch is out of adjustment.
In either case (new or adjust), you will need to know the adjustment procedure. Here it is:
1. Remove stop lamp switch from its bracket by rotating 30 deg. Counter-clockwise.
2. Disconnect wire harness.
3. Hold switch firmly in one hand, and pull plunger with other until it has ratcheted out fully.
4. Press the brake pedal down (as far as possible) and install the switch by aligning the index key on the switch with the slot at the top of the mounting bracket. When the switch is fully installed in the bracket, rotate the switch 30 deg clockwise to lock it in the bracket.
5. Connect the electrical connector.
6. GENTLY pull back on the brake pedal until it stops moving, to ratchet the plunger back to the correct position. Caution…if you use excessive force, you may brake the switch or strike plate.
Let me know how it goes,
