Occasionally on startup or acceleration the a/c compressor makes a horrific squealing noise. I have a bad feeling that a bearing is going out. I have yet to determine if it's in the clutch or the pump itself but is quite loud when it happens and sounds like an alternator squeal when the bearings are going out. It only lasts a few seconds at most...Would introducing a little more oil help? Or is this the death cries of a 15 yr old a/c pump? My wife loves having a/c for our 1 yr old so anything i can do to make this pump last longer would be awesome...

Has anyone else experienced this? any ideas would help...
