Post 1997 intrepid 3.5l no start

My 1996 intrepid wont start. I smell a light odor of gas around the injector area.. I checked the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge and turning the key to the on position a few times and the reading is high compared to the specs listed in the manual which refers to it being idleing and it bleeds very slowly off after a few seconds. I noticed the vacuum hose to the fuel pressure regulator was loose at the intake port but I dont think that will stop it from starting. I did a cam and crank sensor test and both came back with the right 8.0 voltage at the orange wire and both tested right hooked up and back probed.... voltage skipped from 0.3 to 0.5 and so on. THEY PASSED That test. I have two cylinders NOT sparking at the spark plug. but the rest were sparking at the plugs and volts were getting though the wires. I can hear the pump working when key is turned on. The computer had no codes to show me with my innova 3140 scanner hooked to it. I tested the injector harnnes plugs that go into the injectors with a noid light tester and the light was lighting also when I pulled the plugs they had gas on them so it was getting fuel. I noticed on the plugs that did not fire....They would fire once right when I started to turn the key over and that was it...there was no spark after that. ITS a 1996 intrepid not 97

Sounds timming related to me. Try to start with the map sensor unplugged, it's a quick test. When was the timming belt changed and how many miles on the car? It may have skipped a notch.

pulled the timing cover off today and the timing belt tensioner was shot to crap. Theres alot of oil that was behind the cover and some antifreeze also. I am wondering if I sould replace that thing that keeps pressure to the tensioner or just reuse it? I will be for surely replacing the timing belt the tensioner pulley assembly and oil pump gasket. Any sugestions?

should I just put the crank on tdc and line up the mark on both cam pullys up inbetween the dots on the head...Or can it be 180 degrees like a distributors engine....Do i have to worry about the cam/crank timing being off after lining up all the marks?

I reused that pressure "thing" when I did mine. I replaced the pump, tensioner & belt. After I lined it up, it cranked fine.

any secrets for taking off the crankshaft sprocket so I can replace the crankshaft seal? I was going to get a steering wheel puller.

Got it going today..It was my friends and has been broke for two years..he said if you can fix it you can have it..I still have to replace all four door windows.. rear rotors and pads, there is a leak of some sort on the top of the transmission and It looks like its coming from the power steering rack.
