I have a 96 intrepid with the 3.5L. I just put in a refurbished motor and worked out the bugs. It's been starting and running good so far. But today i jumped on the the highway to go to work and as I was accelerating it just quit and wouldn't start. After pulling it home I checked for codes and it had a 0340. I checked the connector and reset it back on the sensor. I tried to start it and it would not start. Luckily I still have the old motor, so I pulled the cam sensor and replaced it with the one off my old motor. It started right up, But it is still throwing a P0340 code. I shut it down and started it several times and everytime the check engine light comes on. Each time I would clear the code. So i decided to take my truck to work instead of taking a chance on the car. What else could be making this code come in? Does anyone know of what eles I shold look for? The air plenum has bee on and off a couple times so I was thinking maybe a pinched wire but I don't know for sure. Any help would be great. Thanks
