ok this just started happening the other day. When I am driving the front end violently shudders and when I excelerate or brake a bit it will stop. We got the front end balanced because we thought that was the problem but it still does it. I need this car for work and I do not know how dangerous it is.

 

it could be critically dangerous or it could be you need a new torque converter or axle shaft or wheel bearing or ???. however it really would be impossible to tell you the level of danger based on your report. if you feel that this problem could lead to someone dying, then buy all means IMMEDIATELY seek in person advice from a professional

 

out of the blue it starts to shudder like when I go from 30 to 40 mph. If I hit the gas or slam on the brakes it stops and then a few minutes later it starts again. It vibrates the entire steering column. I cannot describe the sound but that might not help anyway

 

Please be aware, the problem you are asking about needs in person see/feel/hearing. written internet communications completely eliminates those 3 crucial diagnostic tools.

it would be best to have someone with solid automotive background personally experience your problem. There are multitudes of things it could be some are a minor nuisance to major life endangering issues.
