i know that i used a caravan tcm in an intrepid and it worked fine. so I doubt that is your problem.
notice that you've tossed parts at the problem with no avail. if it was my issue, i'd buy the tools needed to fix the problem (service manual and scanner) or find someone with the abilities to diagnose the problem.

I have a top quality scanner forsale that will pinpoint the exact problem so you won't need to guess at what parts to replace. Trust me you don't want to drop the valve body in hopes that changing the solenoid pack will fix the problem.

oh and if you find you need to replace the trans, they are CHEAP!!!! just get one from a 1998+ 2.7 intrepid. they are so abundant the price of them is under $150 with low miles, bolt right into your car (the only change is one wire connector which is easy to splice in)

Default 1996 intrepid

hey guys im have problems with my 1996 dodge intrepid. i was comen home from work one day an the car just died, i kept cranking on it an it wouldnt start, so i pulled one of the plug wires off an it wasnt getting any spark at all. so i let it cool down an cranked on it again an it started up an i drove it till it died again, i took it to a mechanic an they put there computer scanner on it an the codes that were comen up said the it was the computer an they also replace the coil packs to , so i went a bought a new one, an it still didnt fix the problem, once it dies i unhook the battery cables an wait ten min put them back on an it starts does anyone know what the problem would be?
