"Engine Controlr" fuse was blown
I have a 1997 Dodge Intrepid, V6, 3.3L. I have been very pleased with the car until the last 4 weeks. The Car suddenly just shut down about 4 weeks ago and sat in the drive way until today when I decided to look at the fuses in the black box under the hood. The "Engine Controlr" fuse was blown, so I replaced it and the car started up. I drove it about 40 miles to my Mothers house and when I started back it died again, I pulled off the road and looked at the brand new fuse and it was blown again, so I replaced it and the car started up again. So luckily, I made it back home. Both times that it died, it happen during Acceleration, when I pressed the gas to pull out into traffic. So tonight I Googled the problem and found it to be a very common problem, and for most of the owners, once this problem started their cars did not last long afterwards. So I am very concerned because I am disabled and can not just run out and get another vehicle. Can you please tell me what may be causing this problem? Thank you so much.
Sincerely,
R. Kennedy
