93 Intrepid blows engine controller fuse
I have a 93 intrepid that won't start. I tracked it down to the engine controller fuse 20amp under the hood. When I turn the key on just before it cranks over it blows the fuse. Changed the engine coil, still blows the fuse. Thought it was the fuel pump, so I disconnected the wire to the fuel pump, but did not help, still blows the fuse.
Looked all over for a short, but could find no wires shorting out.
Help! Any suggestions on what it might be.

i have seen a couple of these were the pcm engine controller is internal bad causing fuse to blow. recommend getting service manual and 1 by one disconnecting 1 connector at a time and seeing when it stops popping fuse. only disconnect connector related to this fused circuit. but before buying a crap load of fuses and wasting that money on fuses get a 20amp circuit breaker and attach wires and to terminals to plug into fuse block so when it blows you can just reset the circuit breaker. but make sure it is a manual reset circuit breaker so you no when it pops. start with pcm connectors is my recommendation. manual is about 20.00 circuit breaker 5.00 wire and terminals 5.00 fixing your car and not paying outrageous labor rates priceless.
