Question 98 Intrepid overheating

Hi I have a 1998 Intrepid with 2.7, I can't seem to get it to stop over heating. I change thermostat. I found a piece of plastic in the thermostat. so asom that is why it overheated. Because the thermostat would not open. were did the plastic piece come from? I put in a new thermostat. my problem was over. I started the car, it takes about 20 mins before it started to overheat. the bottom hose is cool. the top hose is very hot. I have no heat. When I brake open the air outlet valve? I get steam and bubbling only.

IF any one that can help would be well grately appreciated
THANKS

you didnt bleed it properly. The correct way to do it is open the bleeding valve, keep pouring coolants into the Radiator until liquid stream spilling out of the Bleeder valve, and close the bleeder valve while coolant is flowing out.
jack up for front of the vehicle few inch while you do this, it helps when Radiator sits higher than bleeder valve.
