dodge interpid 97 keeps shutting off.

dodge interpid 97 keeps shutting off.
My 97 intrepid keeps shutting off while going down the road or when i sit still. i have to swtich the fuel relay switch for it to start agian. it does this almost every trip. Plus the the fuel pump relay switch is really hot.... what could be possible wrong?
