No Headlights
I have a 1994 Intrepid and the headlights quit. There was a smell from thesteering column and now no headlights. All of the other lights work. I tested for power to thefuse boxes, and the headlight switch, all was fine. All I can figure issomehow maybe just the headlight part of the dimmer switch took a dump. Any suggestions or answers will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
hey buddy,
I used to own a 95 intrepid and had the same issue. It is your turn signal/high beam stalk. If you click it back you will notice it doesn't "click" anymore. If you jiggle it enough your headlights should work, my highbeams once got stuck on any battery died. So glad i dumped that car! Altho now im looking at a 300c even tho i said i would never get chrysler again!

Just had the same thing happen to our 97 Intrepid Sport. Ended up with about a $600cdn bill. The wiring harness shorted(which smelled like burning anti-freeze) and took out the multi-function switch(signal, brights on column). The full harness is not available as a part, so we had to custom wire it, before we put in the new multi-function switch. Our running lights worked, and brights, just no fog lights or low beams.
I just replaced my second turn signal switch (Multi Function Switch) for the same problem. Did you do the rewire yourself or have a dealer/garage do the work?
Have you researched a possible recall from Chrysler for the shorted harness?
