I am getting the Check engine light and when I put the ODB II code reader on it I am getting the following codes P0305 and P1784

I know the P0305 is MisFire on Cylinder 5, I have replaced the spark plugs and spark plug wires and the Coil pack, It did not change.

I am also getting the P1784 which reads as Transmission troubles. My Transmission fluid is still red in color and up to the correct level.


Any one have any ideas ????

 

Get the trans checked and check for a compresion problem

 

I too have a '97 intrepid w/3.5 engine and have been getting that same 305 code for quite a while. When I reset the codes I can drive maybe 175 to 200 miles before I get the 305 misfire code. I have also changed Plugs and wiring but not yet corrected it yet. What about the fuel injectors, should I switch them arround to see if misfire happens on another cylinder?
