body parts

my donor is a 93 with the molding on the door, my 97 doens't have molding. is it safe to take the molding off the door or am i sol? i am painting the door, along with the bumper cover, and fender.

You say moulding like the thin body colored moulding?Those are held on by adhesive, just remove it and take some lacquer thinner to remove the glue and you should be good to go...
