Ok so Im buying my mtx next week for my mtx swap and I was just wondering somethin. I know I have to get an ecu for a mtx but does it have to be from the same year as the car or as the mtx? like my car is a 97 but the tranny im gettin is from a 99. Also does anyone have the clutch/brake assembly for sale or know someone who does? Thanks

 

you can use the pcm out of any 97-99 mtx neon as long as it is for the same motor too.....

i cant remember if i still have the brake/clutch assembly or not...i might of sold it but i cant remember

 

yeah thats what I thought, I just wanted to make sure. Im gonna be doing all of this by myself.well the mtx swap, and with the help of a trans. jack but yeah. Im so ready to do it and I dont even have the tranny yet lol But yeah thanks for the help.
