Default trans leak

ok so dont criticize me for this but its not about my neon.....its about my 440 satalite (seems like no one ever gets on that forum).......but i have a trans leak coming from around the square pan which houses the fluid...i tightened the bolts and it slowed it but didnt stop it......could this be a gasket? any help or ideas would be nice.......

yeah first thing I would check is the gasket. If that works then you know what the problem was, if not then like halfhemi said it might be a warped oil pan. Most likely on an older car I would say replace the gasket and that will solve the leak.

if you really tightened the bolts then it might not make it any better because if you evertighten then you can split the gasket...much like an oil filter
