Default Crunching sound in Transmission??

Makes a sound almost like im running over some dried leaves in Fall. Only happens when I'm accelerating, feels like the tranny is slipping too. If its a big problem I was thinking about just finding some cheep parts on car-part.com and doin the MTX swap

Those sounds aren't good in an auto tranny. Is it not shifing gears correctly or hesitating?

Does your automatic transmissions seem to have a large jump in ratios betweenfirst and second gears? Ever since I had mine (4 years)when yourslowely accelerating will clunk and lurch into second gear, but when stepping on it to pull into traffic it is perfecly smooth.

Ever checked the fluid level or had a filter/fluid change?

The fluid level is good and it looks clean, but I never changed it. I have only put 23,000 miles on it since I owned it, but dont actually know how old the fluid and filter reallyare.
