i just bought the modern performance bottom and top end performance rebuilt kits with #16 cams how was wondering how much boost i would be bale to run without blowing the engine????

 

whats your base compression ratio gonna be? thats the biggest part
the other important part is keeping your air fuel ratio in a safe place

 

Jesus, you spent a lot of money. Wish I could do that. How much did that setyou back?? That should be good enough for any amount of boost.

 

if you got the 8:1 pistons with eagle rods then they are capable of handeling 30 pounds of boost and a 300 shot of nitrous

you will be fine on whatever you decide to throw at it, but make the gap on the rings just a smidge sloppy, say .002 or so loose.

to compare:
buddies talon running 42 pounds of boost and a 10o direct shot on his built motor, not saying they are the same motor here, just an example. like he says, it is all in the tune. i would imagine you will be happy with 28 pounds and a 75 shot to start. in a neon with weight redux, you would be close to a 10.5 if not a litle lower.
