'95 Neon SOHC engine died while driving
Hey guys... took a trip in the Neon tonight and the engine just quietly and gently stalled. I was coming off an onramp onto the highway, topping out in 3rd gear w/ the RPM's just under 6k before I shifted into 4rth when the engine quietly died. No booms, bangs or anything. Just quit. I shifted into 4rth and realized that I was pressing on the pedal (pumping motion) and it wasn't accelerating, then I looked @ the RPM's and they were slowly going toward 0. The car coasted in 4rth for a few feet before I took it out of gear and parker her on the side of the road. No leaks were evident after the car had come to a stop. I tried to re-fire afterward and it wasn't catching. I let it sit for a little then tried to re-fire. Engine would crank but no fire or thought of firing. Cranking was consistent, no interuptions while cranking. Took another pause, same thing.
The engine oil is good, changed it myself and has proper amount. There is a small leak from the water pump, but I topped off the coolant reservoir tank yesterday (so it didn't overheat, gauge was also or normal level). Ever since I've had the car there was an occasional hesistation from the engine that was sporadic, but never did the engine stall so I didn't pay it any mind.
Any thoughts? Gonna try to have it towed to the house tomorrow. The car has 90k. Prior owner has the timing belt replaced and what also looks to have had the head replaced as the pain on the head is bright silver in color. The wires were fairly new when I got the car and I replaced the spark plugs w/ new ones. Overall the engine ran like a clock.... Could a bad coil casue this? That's the only thing I can guess/suspect

Have you checked your fuel pump fuse in the PDC?
We are blowing this fuse in a 95. Have not had a chance to closely look at the O2 sensor wires yet as has been suggested.
The car will simply and quietly quit while driving. No spark, no fuel.
