IAC Valve is $49.99 plus tax from Autozone and takes about 10-15 minutes to change. No way should you pay $329 to fix that. Do you know anyone with ANY mechanical aptitude?

And what "tubes" are you talking about that need to be replaced.
I'm not sure what tubes. Atthe moment it doesn't much matter since I'm literally broke. He said something aboutthe tubeslikely causing the o2 sensor to go out again. I have time to look it up, and ask him more questions while I wait two weeks for my next paycheck to pay him.

Thanks for the link to the part. I'll try to research that and talk to him. I have yet to research the fuel pump module but I will.

Don't pay him a freaking dime until he tells you EXACTLY what is the "problem". Have him put it in writing and then post back what he says.

Yea...I have no clue what hes talking about when he says "tubes".IAC valve can be replaced in like 10 min as das said, why pay a shop over $50 to do it, + the towing which sounds outrageous.Have him put everything he says in writing so we can all read it and laugh and point out all his mistakes and BS. Good Luck

I know the towing costs that much. It was 30+ miles, and I called the towing company myself just before I decided to do it and asked how much.

As for writing... I can't get down to the shop for a while, but I'll try to get there to get things in writing, before I get it all done.

Then your coil pack was going bad. The MSD coil pack is only a stock coil pack painted red.

I have a 98 Neon doing the same thing

I replaced the EGR Valve
I replaced the plugs
I replaced ignition wires
I replaced the MAP sensor

The car just feels starved for horse power and bucks at low speeds and when im on the highway

you might just want to try a major tune-up before you do anything.
