its a 97 sohc auto plymouth neon

been having issues with it shifting and slipping

was wondering how I can tell what type of transmission it is

and where i can go to get an overhaul/rebuild kit

Check the fluid level first. You have the 3 speed 31th. If it is messed up, it would be cheaper to buy a used one and swap it in.
