everytime I'm on the highway my neon does something weird. It feels just as if i hit the brakes hard for a split second. When this happens the RPM needle bounces down about 500 rpm then goes back to normal. It ususally does this just once, but it might be because i back off the gas and drive slow the rest of the way. My car used to do this a lot, but after a fuel filter change and a tune up a few months ago it stopped doing it. I feel this can be dangerous for me and for the car. I have no idea why it's doing it. The car runs fine except for a slipping tranny. I have a CEL,but that's for the oxygen sensors. It's a 95 SOHC with 107K miles.

 

A bad O2 sensor can cause weird problems. Get it fixed.
