Hey guys I know I'm a Newbee and your probally going to tell me to look or search but Ive gone threw at least the last 20 pages and havent been able to find an answer. Ok I have a 1995 ACR, Came as you know with a DOHC however the previous owner blew that moter up and transplanted a 96 SOHC into it. Now this is where it gets fun. The transmission is from the original 95 ACR. CPU and engine harness is DOHC from a 96 (ie. has 2 plugs going into computer.) Does it matter whether or not I put a modular clutch or normal clutch in or are they all plug and play doesent matter whitch you use. Becuase Iknow in 96 they had both.I've been told that you can do either modular or non and it doesent matter, that it will work eather way. Will someone clear this up for me please. Thanks

now this all depends.....it can actually go either way
your best bet is to take out the old one and check.....i really dont wanna give you the wrong answer...
if you have buy a clutch and its the wrong one then you need to get a different fly wheel and different flywheel to crank bolts....

 

ACR sedans came with a SOHC, FYI.

You are gonna have to pull the tranny to find out. There is no way of telling what the other guy did.
