ok Today I Change out my VSS with a new one splice all the wires together and i went to go drive and still have no Speedo WHAT IS WRONG i just paid $35.00 to waste my time and money
i got the new VSS and no speed and its not the cluster becuz its new well it might be ill check it out in my sisters Neon.

WHATS WRONG I ASK AGAIN PLEASE HELP

in the VSS an Orange, Black withBlue, white with Orange which i believe is the speedo.
so if i fried some wires somewere can i run the wires straight from the VSS to the Cluster. ive found the white with orange going into the cluster but there are 0 orange ones going to the cluster and 0 black with blue stripe.

yeah everything except the speedo and the odometer/Trip

and like i said i bought the vss bran new ill check my cluster in my sisters car to make sure thats not it.

haha she got her neon before me and was all bragging and stuff then she came over and saw my neon and got super hurt. lol

her neon has had so many problems going on in it i hope mine doesnt turn out to be like that

 

i have the same problem as you with my work car.....changer the vss 3 times....didnt fix it....changed 2 cluster....didnt fix it.......everything in the cluster works except the speedometer and the odometer/trip
i would like to figure this out as well....its just starting to drive me nuts not having a speedomter[:@]

 

Take a digital multimeter and look at the vss signal. You ought to see a 5V low frequency signal.
