When I slow down in my car and have it in neutral it makes a ticking noise and the only thing that I can think of is that it is coming from the CV Shafts. As i slow down so does the ticking?

thats proably what it is. jack the front end up and see if you can get any play out of the wheels. it should be pretty solid.

 

Are you sure the ticking isn't coming from the engine?

 

Iam sure itisnt coming from the engine and I put it on a hoist and raised the front end but it wouldnt make the sound because there was no wait on it. i even triedstopping the one tire and everythign I think ill just by a new CV shaft forthe left side and hope it fixes the problem thanks for the help any way.
