Default Please help with trans problem
Ok here goes. I bought a 1997 dodge neon and i found that the prior owner rigged the shifter cable with plastic cable ties.I didnt figure that out until i was out of town andone of the twocame off. I put new bushing in and at first i had no gears and now i got 1 through 4 can and i cant get 5th or reverse. Can anyone please help me?

where the ties on the cables where connect to the shifter, trans, or where the cables mount before they connect to the trans.

I got it fixed they had also rigged the bushing on the shifter with wire. It shifts great there is no play at all.
