i know nothing about this but i know my school has the thing to do this with
so im going to have one of my friends who is in auto do the compression test for me but what compression am i suppose to have??

is the compression test were you put it were the spark plug is and turn it over ?(ofcourse with the starter or the neg on the battery unhooked.)

cuz thats what everyone tells me it is

speeking about spark plugs i dont know if its the car or the plugs but if im going to slow for a gear i start like a bubble back fire like bah bah baha bah lol sounds liek crap is it the plugs or do all manual shift do this when to slow for a gear???

Good compression numbers should be around 190...

the best compression test is a leak down test.
numbers of 70/80 aregood 75/80 are exelent 67/80 are acceptable on a old motor
all cylinders should be within 5psi of one another.
