Question's about engine ground strap I need to know how 96-99 looks

Hmm..the wire the dealer gave me has clips on both ends.Like you just push it on over a lip.
Is this pic you can see the ground strap running from the fender to the back of the valve cover.

Have you always owned the neon? Maybe someone else grounded it to the alternator bracket by mistake.

So, I finally got it all figured out.Thanks for the pic das, my ground cable looks exactly the same.The dealer does not carry that part anymore though, it's " not servicable" or some crap.I ended up buying 6 guage ground wire and running it from fendor bolt to one of the coil pack mount bolts.I could'nt see in your pic where the wire connected to on back side of valve cover.

I found out the smaller wire I bought is installed near the transmission mount.I looked for it on my car and my cable was broke, so I guess I needed it anyway....lol Thx again for all the help guys

Thats weird both my 95 neons had it mounted to the alternator bracket. I wonder why?
