Building Turbo what im i missing or dont need
Hello im building my 98 neon DOHC and im curious if im missing any parts or dont need a few parts for my turbo build. Im building this in 2 stages first low psi until i do the bottom end, and high psi once i get my stroker cranks, rods and turbo piston. So the turbo has to be ready for high psi. I have already installed:
walbro 255
ported heads
titanium valves
springs
custom grind camshaft (turbo ready).
Cas runs fine but i need a turbo to enjoy that cam, anyway here is a list of things i thinks i need, you let me know the rest.
Turbo charger t3/t4 (any sujestions are welcome)
turbo manifold
down pipe
intercooler pipes
intercooler
external wastegate
BOV
FMU (i want your opinion on the vacuum type vs. electronic like the APEXi S-AFC Neo)
larger injectors
fuel return line
fuel regulator
Oil feed and return (turbo)
Missing link
High volume oil pump
Indy intake manifold (very iffy about it)
Boost and Vac gauge
Wide oxygen gauge w/sensor
msd dis-2 with adaptors
knock light
turbo timer
What typer of air filter is better foam or that new aem dry filter?

dontNEED the indy intake or the msd dis-2....
dont forget your valve spring retainers
your gonna need plenty of AN fittings and fuel injetion hose
what is a knock light????
otherwise it seems like the list is pretty good
if you wanted to save money then you could always get a stock srt4 turbo

I was told (a lot) that megasquirt is cheap and really nice with turbos. Any input will be apreciated. By the way my head was fully rebuild so i already have retainers and others.
if u find the right shop they will tune it for u. i fought a guy that will tune mine when i get it in all i need to do is wire it and getting it to run. but he also mainly work with hondas thats prolly y he wants me to do that much.
